The Augmented Science project aims to transform science education by leveraging Augmented Reality (AR) technology to replicate the traditional lab experience on students’ tablets and computers, addressing the challenges of face-to-face education.
It seeks to design an AR-based learning environment to support both students’ active science learning and science teachers’ teaching processes, ultimately enhancing students’ understanding of science concepts.
Through the development and implementation of AR-enriched science content, experiments, and supplementary materials, along with a web-based active learning system for EU schools, the project aims to facilitate effective technology integration in science education and serve as a best practice example for stakeholders across Europe.
Targets public institutions, colleges, schools, and private organizations.
Utilizes Augmented Reality (AR) applications accessible through the WALS platform.
Curriculum makers, teachers, and students will enjoy enhanced educational experiences.
Works with national education directorates to extend reach and improve teacher digital readiness.
Project results available via WALS, enabling easy access and implementation.
Fosters cross-country and cross-cultural collaborations to advance science education globally.
